Season 3 of The Irregular at Magic High School announced an April 5 premiere date with a new commercial. The new promotional video features the opening theme song “Shouted Serenade” by LiSA: 6p445w
The third season of the anime was confirmed earlier this year: it was initially announced as the new project in the franchise. It will cover three arcs: Double Seven, Steeplechase, and Ancient City Insurrection, and premiere in April 2024. Jimmy Stone will be directing the new anime series at studio 8Bit. Kana Ishida is in charge of the character designs, while Taku Iwasaki is working on the music. Muneo Nakamoto is working on the script for The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3.
The Irregular at Magic High School series started with a web novel by Tsutomu Sato. Originally published on Shosetsuka ni Naro, Dengeki Bunko published it in light novel format in 2011. Manga adaptations of each arc also exist. The Irregular at Magic High School: Magian Company sequel started in 2020.

The first season of the anime by studio MADHOUSE aired in the Spring of 2014, while the Visitor Arc sequel (season 2) followed in the Fall of 2020. Although MADHOUSE animated season 1, 8-bit took over for the 2nd season. The prequel, The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc (studio 8-bit) aired on December 31st, 2021. The franchise also has a movie from 2017, titled The Girl Who Summons the Stars (studio 8-bit). Spin-off anime The Honor at Magic High School by studio CONNECT aired throughout the Summer 2021 season.
Fans in Japan will get to see the premiere of the third season during an early screening on March 31 in Japan.
