VTuber agency VShojo has debuted yet another talent, named Matara Kan. The talent, who embodies the persona of an anthropomorphic cockroach lady, debuted on October 15. As of this writing, she now has over 97,000 followers on Twitch, 68,000 YouTube subscribers, and over 100,000 followers on Twitter.
In a short message ed by the agency, Matara said that she looks forward to having fun with her followers, as well as playing games with them in the near future. Following her debut, she will also make her first public appearance at the TwitchCon Las Vegas event this October 20.
Matara Kan’s debut just came weeks after VShojo debuted its first male talent, Nyanners, left the agency to pursue their VTubing activities independently.
VShojo was founded by chief executive officer Justin “GunRun” Ignacio and chief technology officer Philip “MowtenDoo” Fortunat. In March 2022, the agency raised US$11m in funding aimed at strengthening the company’s presence worldwide. The funding includes participation in major gaming and anime culture conventions, as well as talent recruitments to expand content production.
