Jujutsu Kaisen Unveils Blu-ray Illustrations for Hidden Inventory/Premature Death 6q2w18

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is getting a Blu-ray/DVD release, with the first two volumes covering the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc and coming in October and November of this year. The two volumes will cover a total of five episodes, the entirety of the arc which focuses on Gojo’s past and friendship with Geto. The illustrations used on the jacket covers feature the two characters: 58651y

In addition to the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will cover the Shibuya Incident arc, which recently began airing. Studio MAPPA returned to animate the sequel, this time under the direction of Shota Goshozono. It’s worth noting that the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was also animated by the same studio. The plot takes place after the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc but before the events of the first season. Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Arc Blu-ray dates and details have also been revealed:

• Volume 1: December 29, 2023 (episodes 30-32)
• Volume 2: January 24, 2024 (episodes 33-35)
• Volume 3: February 21, 2024 (episodes 36-38)
• Volume 4: March 20, 2024 (episodes 39-41)
• Volume 5: April 17, 2024 (episodes 42-44)
• Volume 6: May 22, 2024 (episodes 45-47)

Jujutsu Kaisen is based on a manga by Gege Akutami that is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga launched on March 5, 2018, and has since become one of the most popular shonen titles of today. Viz Media is publishing it in English.
